I haven't seen any bite or even fish presence for the whole day long. I've tried the whole legal methods of fishing. No success. gone back home empty handed.

4 barbel caught throughout the day with a nice small fish of around 2 1/2 to 3lb mark. Again the water colour was odd for the Wye, watery gravy. Which seemed to affect the chub numbers, well of larger chub. 20 small chublettes on corn caught, few inches in size.

Top beat very accessible and easy wading yielding 3 small fish all to Soft Hackle and Iron Blue Parachute dry fly. The parking point indicated on the bottom beat map is in effect a passing point for traffic on this single lane and not suitable for parking to go fishing. There is a better parking area on a grass verge opposite the graveyard at The Old Chapel at SN 91819 74536. The bottom half of this beat is definitely commando country for the more agile angler. The clear low water conditions lead to easily spooked fish and a zero return for this half of the trip. Beautiful setting.

Thanks , parking noted WUF

A very hard day on a stretch we normally do well on. Water was a strange brown colour and something was not quite right. Since read other similar reports.

There were anglers fishing on the opposite bank in the area of the fishing hut. We decided therefore to head further downstream and take a look at the pegs in the woods.
These carried a little more pace than those upstream and we decided to settle there.
We fished from early afternoon until around 8pm and had bites steadily throughout this time. There are lots of Chub present and we each had around 25 of these in the 3lb to 5lb bracket. We also caught 8 good sized Barbel which were from around 6lb to 8lb+. All caught on pellet and feeder tactics.
A thoroughly enjoyable session.

5 x trout 7-10 inches, Duck's Dun and Rusty Klinkhammer. The stream is getting quite low now. For some reason this was one of the days when many lightly hooked fish come just off. There you go. Or rather there they went.

Purchased a OAP 6 trout ticket but unfortunately not a bite and packed up at midday. Three other anglers on the same side of the reservoir had the same result, a disappointing day!
