After a frosty star to the day the sun burnt the mist off and outside of the shaded areas it made for a very pleasant
day on the river. The river was pushing through a bit which made for tough conditions. A couple of bites but no fish
taken.

2 barbel caught, tricky conditions both fish to one angler on large feeders and pellet as hook bait. Terrible and dangerous banks and only a few swims accessible, this wasn’t too bad for us as we were all in our early 20’s but would not feel comfortable taking my dad or anyone not so good on their feet to this venue.

It was nice to be on the riverbank again although conditions were such that only a few swims were accessible. One small chub at the end of the day saved the blank .

Just one grayling, but it was the biggest I've ever caught, so I was happy. Size 16 red tag nymph. Two out-of-season trout, one rising to duns in the afternoon.
