Very cold with north wind made it tough. A trout to a ptn and lost another good fish. Will return in better conditions.

Very Fesh hen 11 lb on fly. No lice, beautiful fish not a mark on her. Lucky the hook fell out in the net. Mick the guide told me exactly where to cast to cover the salmon. And he was right thanks Mick.

Long slow day , eventually caught two decent rainbows on the fly in the evening. Plenty of Perch around, and 1 teeny brown, also taken on fly.

I arrived at the beat (which was very easy to find as per the instructions) at around 10am. There was a very cold and constant north easterly wind blowing down the river. I found it practically impossible to cast up-stream, and wasn't a pleasant experience in general. I stayed for around an hour, there were no rises and I had no bites from trotting a couple of nymphs along the bottom, so I decided to call it quits.
