First ever days Salmon fishing. 17lb bar of silver caught on a red S.H Flying C

Again a triple blank. Hard easterly chill kept the fish down. Small hatch of MB at lunch time brought one or two fish up.
But very hard day's casting

21.5lb very fresh fish. Glynn’s first ever landed fish on the fly! Returned very strongly.

Did not fish - water too high / fast flowing / muddy, hopefully to return next months...

A cold, sunny day saw no fish rise, took four smaller fish on the Duo thanks to a small hares ear nymph. The better fish of the day fell to a tungsten bead nymph bumped along the bottom of the deeper pools. 7 trout for the cause and five lost off the hook in fast riffles due to awkward casting in the tight tree cover. An enjoyable stretch I would visit again before the brambles recover.

Very cold start nothing showing until about midday, we did have a few fish on and off but only the one landed. We were using nymphs all day, only spotted three rises all day, definitely a decent head of fish and a very nice piece of water I will definitely be giving it another go.

Fly fishing - strong cross wind made casting more difficult. Will go earlier in the morning next time in the hope of more still water.

Clear water, bright day but still a bit cold. Caught nothing and saw nothing.

Cold old day salmon fishing. Saw a few salmon moving through. Caught a couple of brownies stripping in off the dangle. Much fun was had . Thank you wye and use and terry the ghillie on Whitney. ????
