Two anglers fished all day - usual pellet feeder method - river at summer levels
Canoe traffic modest
Following heavy rain shower and colder conditions fish switched off in the afternoon and evening

5 Barbel, 1 Chub, 1 Other

Downstream wind kept things quiet until 5pm when fish started rising on the lower stretches. Landed and released one grayling. Lost another grayling, a brownie and a decent sized fish that didn't show. All took different dries in different sizes.

Few on klink and dink and a couple on dries later.... few inches on river so could not wade to far out but a lovely stretch....

A nice day to be beside the Wye even if the stiff breeze made it feel on the cool side. Left for home happy enough after catching 2 decent chub and a nice barbel.

Good beat river looked spot on only managed to fish a couple of swims, fished the downstream end opposite the large house all fish cought on running lead and solid bags.

Very nice beat fished the down stream end opposite the big house my son fished a few pegs upstream under the trees both fished running leads and solid bags

Tricky day in very low water levels, the huge beds of streamer weed also mean that some swims are almost unfishable. Canoes were a menace as ever on the Wye, had to rescue one canoe after it capsized and drifted off without its inhabitants for which they were very grateful. Despite the tricky conditions a truly wonderful stretch of river to fish and a very enjoyable day.

3 Barbel

River higher than Tuesday and wind made it even more difficult but beautiful day on the river. Still no trout but will try again on my next trip to Wales.

2 trout caught fly fishing and returned.no salmon caught or seen.
