Lots of fly on the water and fish rising but incredibly difficult to work out what they were taking. Lots of patterns used to no avail 2 taken on nymphs 2 on dry, best fish 1 lb 12 oz on a dry

Good river conditions. No salmon seen.

Lost one lovely fish at the net, beautiful stretch. Can be hard work getting in and out.

Cloudy breezy 18*. Plenty of fish rising, but mostly mopping up the the small spent flies passing through. We caught seven fish, losing several others, all on nymphs, except one on a dry Adams. Most fish 3/4 lb to 1lb Best fish 1.1/4lb

( 21st May should have been 8 trout best fish 2lbs )

Beat easy to get to. One small trout caught. Cool dry day. River conditions good. Saw couple of fish rise. Would fish again.

Lovely brown trout about 10” long on a claret bumble in the eastern end. Steady wind and warm , occasional fish rising

The beat was a tricky one to wade, definitley chest waders required for getting through the deeper stretches. Caught all fish on Caddis fly the only one that interested the very lively trout. Lost a few when they went airborne and threw the hook. Bridge pool gave the most takes today.
Most enjoyable day.

A beautiful day on the Usk reservoir, like a millpond, landed 5 rainbows and had quite a few bites as well.All fish caught on worm
