Incredibly snaggy stretch. Lost a lot of gear due to unseen snags.
Fishing very slow, wasn't helped by the fields having some kind of powder spread on them (chemical smelling) that was everywhere and the property on the other bank burning leaves (i think it was leaves) all day. Had to leave early as the smell was so bad and it was affecting breathing.
Booking Office Note: The powder was probably Lime - farmers often apply this after a crop of potatoes.

We arrived around 9am and, as per the instructions, drove along past the orchard and parked near the bank side. The first swim looked fantastic and easily the most accessible and after walking along a fair way decided to settle there. After 15 mins the first barbel of 8lb 2 oz was in the net caught using swim feeder tactics with 2x8mm hair rigged halibut pellets and Hali and Hemp crush groundbait laced with hemp and some 4mm halibut pellets. We had 2 more barbel of 5lb 11oz and 6lb 15oz on what was a stunning day of bright sunshine but not the best fishing conditions. We did park further up and tried to search out some other swims but found it to be not very accessible so ended up back in the original swim. Would like to return and walk the whole stretch though as I dont feel we explored enough of the bank.

We block booked the beat. The river was about a foot up on normal levels and still had a bit of colour.
5 barbel were caught in the upstream field. 3 from the concrete walkway.
