Arrived at around 5pm after the drive down from Yorkshire. 2 of us settled into the middle of the beat while one other moved around (we had added another rod onto this beat via phone). The fishing was a little tough going with one rod picking up a few fish from 2 different pegs - one mad half hour produced 3 fish. The other 2 stayed put and were rewarded with a nice 6lb barbel. The other fish was a pike around 7-8lb which took a liking to halibut pellet!

A calm day with sunshine here and there but mostly cloudy. The odd rise throughout the day - but nothing to anything I presented. Switched on and off to running a couple of different types down the two or three stretches of rapid shallow water on this beat. Eventually landed a lovely trout around 12 inches on a Montana Nymph !
This is a great stretch of water - very accessible but care required as suddenly goes deep in a number of places. Will return.

fished from approx 12.30 -5.30pm. 13 lovely trout netted and returned lost quite a few, fly of the day was hwyl-y-gwynt [ black hends spectra flash body, seemed to prefer this one over the ostrich body],also had a couple on crippled midge[claret and red mixed body, would have been more than happy to take my car along the track as it isnt to bad but the main gate in was padlocked so didnt have that option, overall a great day

I visited here with my fishing friends. We couldn't make it, no fish seen and nil returned. However we really enjoyed, beautiful river, easy access, well maintained beat.

A tough morning spend roving, fishes every peg of the stretch with nothing to show for our efforts. In the afternoon we decided to set up in a swim each at the top of the beat baiting little and often, fishing to the far margin making sure to hit the same spot every cast. Regular cast with pellet feeders turned out the be the winning method.

Will definitely be going back.
