Fished by the house, water level up to the retaining wall , caught 5 trout, 4 on worm and 1 on spinner.

Beautiful place with kingfishers and ducklings galore. Fishing tough with little hatch. A couple eventually falling to ldo.

Always a treat to fish this stretch of river. Trout interested pretty much all through the day. Except when I tried dries - just couldn't figure out what they were taking.
5 WBT mostly on spiders and CDC emerger. About twice that number had a look or got off.

Low water and a cool downstream wind made for difficult fishing conditions. Long leader contact nymphing in the morning caught me five good fish 18”,17”, 15”, 2 x 14”on size 14 jig 3mm black tungsten bead March brown nymph and peeping caddis. The afternoon was spent stalking large trout taking Brook Dunn’s with only one positive take that I missed.

Lovely day despite no salmon. Water temperature 8 deg C. A couple of good trout as compensation 12” and 14”.

Lost a very good Salmon

Fairly slow water and no significant hatch and no fish rising. 2 small (8in) trout on parachute adams with speculative casting.

Brief olive hatch in afternoon. Water fishable but fairly low and clear. 2 small trout rising to unidentified bugs caught on parachute adams. Good trout (10In) caught in fast run below bridge with sedge.

Good day out. Water higher than ideal but most pools still fished ok with the fly. Thanks to Mick for looking after us.
