Conditions were perfect, I really feel this is my favorite stretch of River, but no fish today.
Which I really feel was my fault, quite a few takes, just not quick enough. Definitely be back for more.

Not our day - complete blank ! This is a lovely stretch that could do with some more swims opening. We were pained by a group of school children and their master deciding to play games not ten yards from our swim ! Other canoeists ok.

Arrived at the beat around 5pm and made our way towards the bottom end. The river was at a normal summer level but very chocolate colour which seemed strange as we were told it hasn't rained much in the last week.

Fishing was very slow to start with but eventually we managed a couple of chub and a barbel.

We decided to move for the last couple of hours and found a few more fish before the swim went dead. In the past we have found that the last hour can be hectic or dead. Unfortunately this time it was dead but we were happy with our catch considering the catches other people are reporting so far this season.

Similar conditions to earlier in the week with a mix of sun and cloud and feeling very warm. The barbel caught today were from one of the deeper swims with the feeding spell after 4pm.
