Looked perfect for summer fishing - dropping off nicely with a some colour. Managed 9 decent Chub on Pellet from 2.1/2 to 4lb.. No Barbel which was a shame but reading other returns it seems that they are not being caught in big numbers as of yet. As always amazing scenery and wildlife

River still quite high so not easy to hold bottom. Seems to be a large snag in bottom swim which made it almost inmpossible to fish without losing end gear.

Fishing early and late. Tried upper half early with river at 1ft 9" and had a salmon on in Dolmeudw that I lost as it swam towards me. In evening tried lower half and had a very hard fighting 12lber from the Oaks section of the Chapel catch and my rod up on another. SM also lost one that was well on in the Chapel catch. A day of chances but only the 1 conversion. One of the trout SM caught was well over 2lbs.
