The river had risen a foot overnight following yesterday’s storm and heavy rain. A lot of weed and debris coming down. Fished close in to the bank in horrendous wet and windy conditions and caught a couple of lovely barbel and also missed two good bites.

CAUTION : We initially parked inside the gate on the right of the road by the line of trees half way down the stretch. A bad mistake as the car quickly got bogged down in the mud and we were lucky to get the car out again. Best not to park here when the ground is wet!

Terrible conditions to fish in, heavy rain and strong winds. River was up a foot or so and piles of rubbish coming down. We managed to share a swim and fished close in to the bank. Caught two barbel and missed a couple of good bites somehow.

The start and best return of a tough three days. Torrential rain and gales made for some unpleasant conditions but a few fish made an appearance from both the top and bottom end of the beat.

The weather was atrocious and the banks treacherous so decided not to fish for safety reasons.

Strong wind and heavy rain plus rivet rising made it very difficult

Water too high. we did not fish.

2 Chub between 4 rods, rising river, unable to locate the fish but can't complain in such stunning surroundings with good friends

Amazing beat, simply stunning venue. Nothing to show for the efforts apart from a few missed opportunities.
