An excellent day on another great Wye and Usk beat. The land owner even sent one of his men down to clear some of the vegetation from the bank side, which was very welcome. Imagine, sitting at your peg, admiring the Kingfishers, watching the Herons and Buzzards, then there were a couple of Deer having breakfast in a field on the other bank. Oh and then there is the amazing fishing! Thank you Wye and Usk.

Not able to fish. The water level was too high and prevented us from getting to the pools as the water covered the pathway.

River up and raining. No bites on any baits, probably wrong swims on the day. Went home early. Wild beat but paths and a few beats have been strimmed.

Lovely morning
