River up and coloured, no fish seen or caught. Mostly overgrown so casting tricky. The Abbey is well worth a visit.

Very wet ( muddy ) challenging day- couldn't get to the parking areas without a 4 x 4 ! wading through 6-8" of mud through the farmyard. Eventually fished a few hours at the top end, two nice barbel, lost two others & my companion lost one at the net.

After a wet week my fishing companion and I feared the worst but were pleasantly surprised to find the Arrow in eminently fishable condition, ideal for trotting maggots. However, I failed to connect with any grayling although I did land four out of season trout -6", 2 x 9" and one of 12"- and contrived to lose a bigger fish at the net. My companion persevered with the top weirpool but had only one small trout for his efforts, so moved downstream and landed a nice 12" grayling - our last fish of the day as the forecast heavy rain set in.

River rising rapidly and hard to keep a rod in for more than 10 mins due to the amount of leaves + weed ect coming down. fish caught from several different swims mostly in the morning, alot of swims were un fishable by the afternoon apart from a near bank crease where the biggest of the day came from at 10lb 12oz

5 Barbel, 5 Chub

Managed a couple of hours fishing over lunchtime.
Bit flooded out after the recent rain i'm afraid, water a little muddy. Quite hard to locate the fish perhaps, or they couldn't see my nymphs so well? Either way nothing doing for my pink shrimp really!
