DC & GC enjoyed a fine day on this beat, the weather was bright and sunny with the water running clear. All fish taken on nymphs. With a few fish rising at times we tried dry flies but to no avail. Late afternoon the breeze picked up and became a downstream nuisance so we decided to call it a day.
One bonus was that earlier we were fortunate to see an otter, however some one needs to tell it that it's illegal to take eels, which it did twice !!!!!
Many thanks to W & U for providing this lovely beat.

A very hot day and bright sunshine. River in wonderful condition and plenty of water. Rises good and a few mayfly around but very quiet during mid day and evening. Sadly went home empty handed. But a wonderful day .

3 trout caught on dries within the first 10 minutes of arriving at the beat - nothing thereafter all day. Strange day - lots of fish rising between 11:00 and 13:00 with very little thereafter. I spent a good hour trying to catch one fish at the bottom of the beat that was rising in a single location every few minutes. I failed on about half a dozen times to connect despite the fish rising to my fly - I think my strike action needs a bit of work. Enjoyable day anyway.

Bright sunshine and low water, so a challenging day. All fish taken on nymphs - nothing could be tempted with dries - and all safely returned.

We fished the afternoon and evening in very sunny weather. While the sun was warm it quickly turned cold in the evening. We caught four fish between us with few feeding fish visible. This is a beautiful stretch of water.

Low water and bright sunshine made for a tough day. Tight Line nymphs worked their magic and I winkled out a few fish. The Biggest Trout was 13" but four of the Oos Grayling were large up to 19"
