Four good grayling caught as many again missed. Good size oos trout lost near the net. All fish caught on beaded nymphs but no fly the same so still trying to find the right pattern. Parking is now in the pub car park as the pub have landscaped the fishermans car park area by the rivers edge. The owner was ok with this when I spoke with him and happy with the buisness he recieves as a result of the fishing.

13lb cockfish for Matt Cooper from Weirend beat on a shrimp pattern fly.

Good day today. We caught our limit using artificial bait they was there to be caught today

No barbel located despite trying several swims.

8lb very coloured fish from the Pulpit on a Flamethrower Red and another smaller fish lost on the same fly and same location.

2nd fish of the day to Matt from Ross Angling Clubs water at Weirend. caught on the same shrimp pattern fly.

Fantastic day, barbel clearly wanted to feed. Fished 3 swims in all during the day, nearly all of the fish came after the first swim change then steadily throughout the rest of the day.
Ledgered pellets or 12mm boilees for hook bait with pellets in a PVA bag was the successful method. Best barbel was 8lb 2oz.
River in good condition, steady flow with not too much debris coming through.

17 Barbel, 3 Chub

Water came up overnight and was heavily coloured until mid afternoon. Dropped slowly but only a foot of visibility until late in the day. Not a touch until 5pm and then 3-4 trout in quick succession. No salmon but a couple seen in Rock and one seen in Gravel Catch. Tomorrow will be a day to remember for someone.
