Very nice beat, if a bit public. Access and pegs good - being so dry I had no problems driving my small car along the track. Three good sized barbel and a 5lb chub caught quickly at the 1st peg below the boathouse, before the heat got too much. Pellet on a light bomb over loose-fed pellets.

River very low and weedy! Had to use roving tactics to get any success.......i caught only Chub and my fishing buddy caught the Barbel.....biggest was just under 9lb. River desperately needs a good flush through! All fish caught on pellet and feeder tactics.

Found a deep hole caught well until the sun got high then slowed up . Chub on pellet, barbel on boilies

A very warm day in the end, had 7 bites and caught 6x trout, good size ones as well, really pleased with my days fishing, will return with my dad soon once he's off his holiday thanks USK Resevoir

Another hot still day, but the full tree cover on this narrow river, and plenty of fast flowing runs still fishable, meant it was slightly cooler in the valley. No rises, but I had the first trout within ten minutes on a tiny para midge pattern so stuck with that for a good day. Rose plenty, mainly from the fast runs, and landed 7 - all but one were 6-10" and very feisty. Highlight was an unexpected strong 13" trout, again on the midge. What could be better?

Very very hot day, fish were very spooky. Brought 3 to hand (9", 7" and 5") and a fair few slipped off, many more missed, including quite a few follows out of riffles, snatched them too early because you could see the trout right from the off. Lots of trout seen holding in the shallow current too, bit of an exercise in sight fishing. Lovely beat, cheers.
