I have fished here before with good results , but decided to try out areas I had not previously tried. Not with any success unfortunately and one chub to show for it. However the weather was not ideal with steady drizzle/rain pretty much all day , strong winds and quite a lot of debris coming down the river and hitting the line making bait presentation, roaming and casting a bit tricky. Will try again before the season's out when hopefully the weather will be a bit more benign.

1 Chub

Fabulous few hours on some exceptional fly water. A reel turning pull in the Chapel Catch and a solid take in the Orchard both came to nothing. Next time maybe. Levels great at 1'6" carrying a little colour but vis good enough!! Great access points and wonderful fly fishing. Met another rod who had lost 2 Salmon earlier in the day.

All barbell caught late in day on pellets from middle of stretch up to 7lb

4 Barbel, 2 Chub

Miserable weather, had to move to find fish, Chub up to 4.5lb Barbel to 6lb all caught on pellets.

9 Barbel, 13 Chub

River at a good level and rising a little. Weather breezy and increasingly wet. Started at about 15.00 hrs and fished until 21.30. Barbel up to about 6.5lbs, most in the last hour and a half, with a couple more lost. All on feeder and pellet. A good evening, despite the rain.

Caught all through day ,all between 1 -4 lbs all bought on meat in the fast water. good sport

10lbs on a Flame Thrower Neck of Rectory

1 Salmon

Saw lots of rises and salmon jumping but no catches

Nothing seen all day. The whole morning was a wash out.
