WET FLIES AND EMERGENTS

6 Trout

Had an enjoyable few hours fishing early morning. Lots of resident salmon showing in the vanstone pool. Could'nt tempt any into taking fished through with small flying c & small fly.

River low and clear, plenty of action using straight bomb and meat.

23 Chub

River was looking good but unfortunately the barbel didnt want to play, just two eels banked but a beautiful place to spend the day.

2 Other

One small brown trout about half a pound and another brown trout about a pound in weight. Both caught on a mepps silver spinner. River was fairly low and very clear. Both caught between quakers yard and merthyr vale

Fished for about six hours but sadly to no avail. Conditions were not to good very hot answer water very low, Fished with dry fly Griffiths gnat, saw one fish all day. Sadly no fish caught but very nice country side.

I caught all my fish on drys olive. Shaun mixed on drys and french leader good river level fish rising all through the beat many missed not many sedges comming off yet
