Had a great day on Craig llyn thanks to Shaun and Richard. Fishing was amazing, lovely water. Fished with Paul Jenkins, Shaun and a few other fellow anglers. Dry fly and nymphing with French leader were the methods of the day with the pheasant tail emerger and silver headed size 14 red tag being the most successful fly. Most fish in the head of the pools in the morning and later on the the day the fish moved to the tails where the hatch began. Amazing beat and looking forward to the next visit. 19 out of season trout caught and released safely and 78 beautiful grayling ranging from 1lb to 2+lb mark.. well maintained beat, thanks again Shaun and Richard!

First visit to this beat, car access very good, able to park near the hut. Not surprisingly, a low and clear river combined with unseasonably bright, warm weather, made for a challenging day's fishing. Feeder/pellet and meat failed to produce the goods but float fished maggot provided some enjoyable sport, with several small chub and dace obliging.
BP led the way with more than twenty small dace and a perfectly-conditioned barbel of 6lb (his first on float!). However, RE was awarded ‘catch of the day’ for retrieving BP’s landing net, some 50m downstream from where it found it’s way into the river!

River low and clear, everyone struggled to catch. The chub including a nice 5lb specimen were caught in the first swim downstream of the woods on luncheon meat.

River level very low, at the start bright sunshine and light wind cloudy and rain later in day.Great part of the world to go fishing a day. 1 Grayling 10" and 1 OWBT 8" and a number of near misses. Fishing improved but sadly at the end of the day.
