Good day most of the fish in one area and most of the barbel under 12oz! Never seen so many small barbel on the Wye from all sections. Are they showing because the bigger fish weren't feeding? Thanks wuf.

Feeder and halibut pellet in the faster water for the barbel. Nice beat in attractive setting.

5lb clean cock fish on fly with ally's shrimp,cock pit beat of Upper Bigsweir

Nil return, a few fish showing in Vanstone early but without a great deal of conviction. Upper pools very quiet. Mick not so quiet!

5.5 lb male salmon on Collie Dog from Vanstone Pool, Goodrich Court at 18.20.

Small fish about 5lb taken at the tail of the Rock pool at dusk on a size 14 Bann shrimp.

10lb fish slightly coloured caught in Dog Hole on a back and red tube fly. A few canoes but also three wet suited swimmers towing floating bouys!

Second day for our party on The Creel. S managed 3 Barbel to 8lb. L, after a struggle on Backney managed 15 Barbel to 9lb and 2 Chub. Pride of place however went to P with 8 Barbel including a cracking specimen of 11.5. All fish taken on feeder tactics with a variety of Pellet and boilie baits.

26 Barbel, 4 Chub

River in good order for trout fishing but very little fly. No daddy long legs! 4 grayling to 15" and 2 trout 11". Caught on dry flies.

7lb cock fish at 7:20 in evening at limits of Cafn. On 20th also lost a biggish fish in Never say Die after nearly 10 minutes. On 21st at 8.20 in morning hooked probably the same salmon which lept and tried to go into Agen but came back to lie in same spot where I lost it. Also had a brief take in General.
