Nice few hours, tried nymphs but lost a few fish, changed to a dry and had all my fish on that. Please be warned about the bull in the last field downstream as he's a bit aggressive.

Another blank day along with others, there is something so wrong, is it poaching or lack of stocking

Great day on a beautiful stretch of river. River pretty low and clear, bright day, but still managed 3 barbel to 8lb and 4 chub to 5lb caught on pellet/feeder tactics from road side bank swims. Good access and friendly fishery owner.

Both taken in the same pool and both on a spinner. I'd not caught a pike before. It was like being stuck for 5 minutes before I realised it was a fish. The salmon was around 5lbs and I have a photo if you would like a copy.

Following the results from our previous two trips to this stretch earlier in the week where the best time had proved to be the evening, we were confident of adding several more barbel to our total having already had 6 by 4pm. However, this wasn't to be and we only caught two more during the evening period. Still a good day though with 8.12 being the best barbel. Feeder with various combinations of baits was the method used.

A very hard day on the creel today. Started in a known spot that my friend had some brilliant catches from a few weeks ago and couldn't get a bite. Ended up fishing further upstream and finally found the fish about 8pm. Had a steady hour between us towards the end of the session and we were pleased to end the evening with a few fish.
