I fished from 11am-4pm on a fairly cool overcast day. 8 trout were caught on single cdc dry flies, 1 on a Klinkhammer and 7 on a beaded PT nymph fished under a Klinkhammer. The fish were a variety of sizes up to 12 inches. Not many fish rising when I arrived but more seen as the afternoon went on. Lots of wildlife about including an otter [think it was too big to be a mink] which swam into the pool I was fishing before it spotted me and scampered up the bank.

One caught on dry fly one on wet fly. The river looked in perfect condition and the weather was warm, sunny intervals and no rain. There were many flies, mainly olives and sedges on the water but very few fish showing any interest.
We had difficulty finding our way beyond the Flats. Both fish were returned in good condition.
Online service was very good.

Fished the bottom part of the beat and river looked in good condition although perhaps needing some rain. Saw just a couple of rises but was unable to find any fish with dry flies or in the pocket waters in the rapids searched with nymphs. Whilst standing in the shallows, a pike of perhaps 4 or 5lb cruised right up to me before making eye contact and rolling with a splash away. The setting for the beat is spectacular and I watched a red kite circling overhead as compensation for the lack of a catch.

A late May day, cloud cover, river at summer height - conditions where you would expect a good hatch and freely rising trout. Maybe it was a little cool at 14 degrees but while there were some flies hatching, it was a hard day's fishing. Three trout in all - 8, 12 and 14 inches. One to a upright Olive pattern, one to a GRHE nymph and one to an Adams dry. Was hanging on for an evening hatch but the rain came in at 7pm and I left. Always good to be out on the river though.

Strong downstream breeze made things a little tricky. Very slow until mid afternoon and then a few fish rising. A smattering of brook duns and small olives as well as occasional caddis. The fish that were rising appeared to be intercepting something else!
A flurry of activity on a small cdc olive patterns before we had to leave, which was probably the time we should have been starting! Two large fish (2lb plus) seen with fungus which was slightly worrying.
A lovely spot to enjoy the delights of the River Usk.

We caught two trout, one on a dry fly one on a wet fly. The river looked in perfect condition and the weather was sunny intervals with no rain. There were plenty of flies hatching and drifting along the river, both upwing flies and sedges but the trout didn't seem interested in them. We found the banks a little hard going and it wasn't obvious how to access the upper section.
The booking system was excellent with no problems experienced.
