Beat:Lugg Litton
Fishing:Trout (River)

Couple of hours early afternoon so only fished the lower half of this beat. Probably still a bit early for the upper Lugg beats.
Steady trickle of olives but nothing rising. Tried small GRHE and pheasant tail nymphs in deeper water and faster sections - but to no avail.
We cleared this beat a couple of years ago - well overgrown already so access tight without much spring growth yet.
Also a lot of barbed wire fence hopping needed to navigate this beat.

Beat:Llangoed & Lower Llanstephan
Fishing:Trout (River)
No. of Anglers:2
Sunny morning with afternoon becoming overcast. Cool light breeze. Steady trickle of LDO and grannom, very few rises so stuck to nymph patterns. Not much in the way of interest but we managed to connect with three fish, GRHE goldhead seemed to be the preferred lure. The river needs more water to bring it to life. Great day. We also enjoyed the fly past of two RAF Hercules flying up the valley.
