Not our day. No fish landed unfortunately. River looked really good. Don't know what we did wrong but guess that's fishing sometimes. Spotted 2 otters along the stretch and a pair of kingfishers.
Saw plenty of Salmon jumping.

Difficult day on a low,clear river. Couple of days too early probably after rain on saturday. Never fails to impress though. Thankyou WUF.

1 Barbel, 5 Chub

2 fish caught near Doldowlod caravan park. Water turning colour after a morning of heavy rain. By evening the river was un-fishable. I did (with W&UF authorisation) an invertebrate sample. The river is almost devoid of life, I found a few stoneflies, segmented worms, a few small cased caddis, no up-winged flies of any kind. A really poor sample.

2 Trout

No action today and do you know what?... It really didn't matter, just being here it's just a privilege to on the bank of this glorious river thank you WUF.

A pleasant few hours on a lovely stretch of water. There was little surface activity so fished with nymphs and spiders. Most of the fish came from the faster water towards the heads of the pools.

7 Trout

1 x 26 inch cock grilse from the V on a size 10 Bann Shrimp. Early fishing before the canoes on a nice cloudy morning with the water low and clear.

1 Salmon

Ed Brown fishing Bigsweir. 8.40am 12lb slightly coloured hen on a size 12 cascade. 9.15am another 12lb hen on the same fly.

2 Salmon

a couple of hours from bottom to just above bridge. all fish 6-10 inches, no big boys showing themselves. All on size 16 CDC olive, no nymphs swum today, hence not many Grayling.

7 Trout, 3 Grayling

Fished mid afternoon till dark. All fish caught on halibut pellet.

1 Barbel, 4 Chub

Just learning, no fish but very enjoyable
