1 x slightly coloured cock salmon, 27 inches, on Bann Shrimp from the V at about 3 in the afternoon
(in between various flotillas of canoes). Many thanks to gillie Mick Sutton for his sage advice earlier and also for his hard work improving the access here. This beat used to be quite a jungle; now it's quite pleasant to get around the pools.

Quality fishing as usual. A strong cool down stream wind kept the fish down so nymphs caught most with a couple taking a klinkhammer. No monsters but all a good average size and in good condition.

First time fishing the Edw,lovely river and a great place to fish. Water level appeared to be low also a lot of brown algae on the bottom. 10 fish caught and quite a few more missed. 5 on a size 16 para adams and 5 on a size 18 beaded PT under an indicator, all in the faster water.
Excellent direction to the beat and parking.

A great session on this fabulous stretch and on a perfect fishing day: warm and away from the prevailing north-west wind although the water level is getting low. I fished the entire main section from the bridge from 10am and there were almost no fish showing and little evident fly activity. Initially no joy with a small Hares Ear nymph but when I switched to a parachute Grey Duster and cast to likely spots in slow pools and faster runs, fish came up for it. Most of the trout were about 6ins long but also caught one real fighter of 3/4lb in lovely glide towards the top bridge. I then drove up to the top 700 yrd section which looked in greater need of water but still produced a couple of fish. A very dramatic stretch with some very deep pools.
About 11 trout plus two salmon parr.

A very enjoyable day. Not easy due to blustery wind and river dropping. Chub caught trotting bread flake or meat on the bottom. Barbel all caught on meat. Well worth the 2 hr drive from Buckingham.

Three droppers, weighted nymph on the bottom dropper, and spiders on the other two worked very well. Lots of fish taking, and a superb day. Lovely water height also.
