Great looking, peaceful stretch of river in the middle of nowhere. Conditions were near perfect, with good water level and a little colour. Had a nice Chub on my first cast, followed by 17 others between 2 and 3.5 pounds, with all but a few in mint condition (a couple had what looked like Cormarant or Heron stabs) and 3 Barbel with the biggest at just over 6lb. I also christened a new rod and reel and had my first (and second) centrepin caught Barbel :) All fish caught on Halibut pellets or Lone Angler Sausage sizzle squabs.
Will have to come back to this stretch :)

Almost no fish rising during the day and nothing happened until about 6pm when good hatches started and fish started to rise. We then caught 10 and missed another 5 or 6, all of good size (30cms +). A great day in the end but difficult during the afternoon.

An interesting but challenging beat. Despite several bumps and tugs just one trout came to hand. Very little fly life.

Nice stretch of river. 5 chub and 1 barbel approximately 7lb.
Be wary of nasty snags in the lower section. Although I took three good size chub from here it cost me in tackle. Definitely returning to this beat.

Mostly Roach and small eels. One golden Rudd. Missed several carp feeding on the surface before finally hooking and losing one.
The pond is chocolate brown in colour with a noticeable amount of material floating on the surface.

Lovely day on Aramstone, partly cloudy, 20 degree heat. Spoke to Stan before I traveled and he put me on to likely pegs. Had 20 chub to 4lb and 7 barbel to 6lb. All taken on trotted pellets. It's a shame the Wye and Usk will no longer be able to take booking for this beat.

10 trout 6-10", no larger fish seen. Fishing klink and dink 75% took the nymph. Don't ignore the feeder streams. Late rise to small sherry spinners hatch and spent. Beautiful location.

Another very bright and warm day so fished afternoon and evening. 4 trout to bead head nymphs in deep fast water in the afternoon. A good rise after 9pm when 5 fish to 12/13" were caught on size 18 olive dries, plus a similar number came adrift. Fish seemed to be taking olive duns. River quite low and clear.
