River level high and in spate. Fishing for trout with fly. Wading almost impossible. Saw several salmon jumping. Not good trout conditions. No catches.

A short stretch of water with reasonable access to a handful of swims. The river was pushing through quite quickly and a nice chocolate brown, but that didn't put off the barbel ranging from 7lb to 9lb who fed regularly through the day. Feeder tactics with smelly baits did the business.

8 Barbel

Fish caught on nymphs. High, discoloured water to due heavy rain in preceding day or two. Granted washoff from previous day. Excellent service from WUF. Excellent guiding from Chris Price

Both caught on dry fly. Difficult conditions due to high and discoloured water from heavy rain

Fair amount of water after recent rain. Klinked and dinked for 3hrs early pm.1 wbt8"to dry and 2 smaller to gold head nymph.

3 Trout

River was 3ft up but many fishing pegs still available to fish from. Three of us fished directly down from the church to the left and right of the fallen tree. Caught using pellet and meat with top barbel weighing 9lb. Nice stretch of river but banks can be quite steep.

13 Barbel, 4 Chub, 2 Other

River level was high and running fast. We had to cast just 10-15 yards out. Plenty of fish early on and later but went quiet for a few hours in the afternoon. A most enjoyable day!

18 Barbel, 5 Chub

Enjoyable couple of hours fishing this great beat, before driving back to Cornwall. No salmon seen or showing

Only managed 5 hours in the morning but great fishing nevertheless. Best fish of two days caught a 9 2 Barbel just pipping yesterday's best fish and another of 8 12 in today's session. All caught on feeder and pellet.

Fished all day. 5 fish caught 1 on Dry the rest on nymphs.. The river was high and coloured.. Seen 3 people poaching and they didn't seem bothered to see us one bit
