Lovely fishing morning, cool and overcast, but water still crystal clear with little flow. Fished the stones up into the faster water 0930 to 1630 with bomb and bags. Had a 6lb barbel after an hour then a 5lber an hour later. 4 chub as well. Swapped to a gb feeder lunchtime and added 4 more chub. Back on the bags for the last 90 mins for another 5lber and one lost on a cutoff. Hookbaits various. So a good day.

Loafer floats with luncheon meat or pellets on the hook. Fed pellets and hemp and luncheon meat. Groundbait feeder with the same hookbaits

Couple of hours roaming between Titley bridge and Hunton bridge. Water sparse and expectations low but managed a 9" trout from a lovely little run on a micro-nymph. This stretch ,unusually, is relatively open with no barbed wire fences or yards of brambles unlike the upstream reaches. I met the landowner who had instigated much clearing of the RH bank, not least to allow more light onto the water. All credit to you, Sir.

Hergest is still very low, a difficult day couldn't find any Interest in dry flies in the food streams eventually reach the fall at the top end of the beat after prospecting with a small dry to no avail changed to a heavy ptn nymph first cast got a nice Edw Brownie.
