Fished in the evening after a very bright and warm day. Water temperature up in the 60s. One resident salmon flopped out in The Lines and a small silver fish showed above the Maddox. No takers found although the fly fished beautifully in most pools at 1 foot. Huge congregation of swans in the Maddox and Windmill.

Didn't see any fish to cast at. Caught nothing. Several of the sites were, for me unfishable - 1 and 3.
Directions we quite confusing in places. I think it would be good to have a reasonably large map with the sites marked to give a better idea of how far apart they are.

Nice afternoons fishing in very hot conditions.

18 Chub and 2 big barbel.

Caught four nice Rainbows on the worm all taken. Also a lovely wild brownie that was released. And a Perch.

Superb morning and back home in time for the footie! 11 Barbel to 9lb 2oz and a solitary Chub weighing in at 3 9. Great fishing!

Fished mid morning and afternoon until 4 o'clock. Limited fly life and very few fish rising. One 8 inch trout to a dry fly and a couple of pulls fishing a PTN. River in good condition, be aware of barb wire fences hidden in bankside vegetation (another hole in waders that already leak like a sieve).

A really blissful summer day, fishing in shirt sleeves. A day to keep in your mind's eye in winter! 5 wbt, the best 1.5lb, all to either PTN or GRHE fished NZ style. No dry fly offers all day. No obvious big hatches either, a steady trickle of yellow mays were ignored from what I could make out. This is beautiful water.

11 barbel between 6 and 8lbs caught using method feeder tactics with pellets and paste... 9 chub caught in total including a new PB of 6lb 4oz!!!

Great days fishing... look forward to returning again soon.
