Very enjoyable day despite the high levels and gusty wind. a total of 13 Chub between us up to 3.08lb. Some on cheesepaste, some on meat and some on trotted maggot.
We like it here and we will be back.

Started off with the feeder and pellets tried every bait we had with us but the fish didn't want to play!!!! Tried various other tactics but nothing until late afternoon when 2 chub saved us. 1st around a pound, 2nd a pristine 3lb 8oz. A lovely days fishing in beautiful surroundings, despite heavy rain and sleet showers... river had strong pull and well coloured and by the time we'd packed up had risen 8 inches.

No catches to report nymphing for grayling. Water levels quite high I think and was quite coloured. Will be back another time. Thank you.

3 Chub on bread. Think we would have caught more but the wind and rain got the better of us.

No fish caught fished the full stretch top to bottom. Rain didn't help.

A beautiful day but the fish were not playing ball, no sign of a fish all day, tried pretty much everything to no avail. Fish 1 - Angler 0

It was my first time on a river with a fly rod. The river was quite coloured and fast flowing making things possibly more difficult. No catches to report. All in all a good experience. Very impressed with your online booking system. Will be back in the trout season. Thank you.

Float fished and ledgered with meat pellets and paste from 8.00 a.m. till late on the river. Coloured and rising throughout the day and no fish caught.

River was running very dirty, but we still managed 5 chub on different baits moving to several swims.
