First time any of us had fished the river, which was high and coloured. Halibut pellets and PVA mesh bags down the near bank to keep out of the strong flow but nothing showed.

A total blank. The Lugg at Mortimer's Cross was running very high on Saturday after heavy rains on Friday night. Although the flow was better on Sunday on the Eyton beat. There was a lot of debris in the water - logs, branches etc. We didn't have a single take all weekend.

River about 1m up from previous day due to rain. Tried several swims with pellet and luncheon meat but had no bites. I can only assume drop in temperature + rain water had put fish off.

River high and cumming up fast with lots of debris. Over 3 feet in 6 hours. Hooked 6 good fish over the day but only managed to land 1 4lb chub and 1 6lb barbel due to the strength of flow. 5-6oz to hold bottom. All fish taken on bait tech hybrid hook baits over hemp in middle to lower end of beat. Great beat with great access. Banks abit slippy when wet so take care. There was a large otter at the top end early morning. Many thanks again to the wuf.
1 Barbel, 1 Chub
