Lovely beat but I was let down by the weather as it was far too windy for my casting abilities! Managed to get blown off of my intended trajectory and was surprised that I didn't lose more flies in the trees!
Access from the car park is easy - but there is a lot of barbed wire about. Fished up from here. Persevered for a few hours and had one hook up but lost it. Doh!
Didn't see another fish, or any rises - but I will be back to try another day.
Note that the road is closed for repairs from Kington to this beat's car park.
Booking system is great - many thanks for making it easy!

Low and very clear. V strong wind, downstream, rain. A few olives from 11-2, a few rises. Managed two nice fish from shallowish sheltered part near bank after seeing one move; one on a PTN, the other a klink.

No salmon caught, but one seen dead floating down the river around 6lb it was whole so unsure why dead? Changing weather so not easy to fish with a lot of wind, but a good day had.

Fished the day mostly on the fly in perfect water conditions but in an increasingly gusty and at times gale force wind. No salmon seen but a very enjoyable day on the river and our first on this beat. One 1lb trout caught and returned after engulfing a large Park Shrimp tube!

Water was clear until about 1pm then they coloured up and we packed in. Good hatches of March Browns before water coloured.

A heavy hatch of March Browns from around 11.30 to 1.15pm with some LDOs although the LDO hatch never got into full swing. Trout were taking the March Browns as they emerged at the start but were very fussy about which artificials they would take. We took fish on large CDC duns and deer hair emerger style patterns, as well as getting one or two on spiders. Best fish about 15 inches. We caught 6 but missed and lost many. Absolutely fantastic to see the March Browns hatching in such numbers.
