Hot day and not easy going. 3 good sized chub to the roving approach. No barbel but will come back to this stretch.

This stretch doesn't get a good review from me I'm afraid. It is very overgrown with steep banks. Unless you take a chainsaw down with you, there are very few swim options.
I am very fit and able, and count around 5 fishable swims on the stretch, with one or two looking good for barbel. We caught fish from one of these swims, but if they weren't there, it would have been a frustrating one.
There were two of us and we ended up fishing at opposite ends of the stretch as these were the only places that looked good for a bite and were fishable. Therefore not a particularly social stretch either.
That said, caught plenty of barbel to 7lb and saw some enormous salmon jumping. Salmon parr in abundance in the shallows so happy for the £22 to go to WUF, who are doing a great job.

5 Browns, 0.5lb to 1lb. Very sunny, very hot and hard going but great stretch of water.

Went in to Cothi. Lovely weather and landscape, arrived at 4pm river water level was very low. Saw many trouts but didnt catch anything. Later went to the Towy. What a lovely water! Even ladders to get to the water. Had one brown trout around 3lb. Hope to be there one day again. Thank you.

1 x 4.25lb barbel, 1 x 4lb chub, 1 x 5lb chub, 1 x 2lb eel all taken on ledger & swimfeeder. River was coloured. The accommodation at the Cottage of Content was very good.

Fished for Salmon on Coed Ithel beat on June 23rd. Two rods 2 days, no fish. July 7th 2 rods 3 days no fish. Sept 15th 2 rods 1 day, lost one fish. Very poor year, worst ever.

Bright sunny day, water about normal. Fished one of the only fishable places on Church Stream Pool. Car parking and access to riverbank is good. This mile long double bank beat is supposed to accommodate 4 coarse anglers but I personally feel it is restricted to possibly 2 fishable spots both on Church Stream Pool. From Meadow Fence to Foy Bridge Fishery the bank is totally overgrown without any visible access to the water. I could not see where you could enter river to wade across to the island mentioned in The Passport.

Most fish caught on feeder fished pellet from the first swim in the second field up. Moved up to the swim where a tree has fallen in & rolled a boilie down the edge of tree to tempt another 3 barbel during the afternoon. River was low & clear with sunshine all day. I was kept entertained watching chub & trout in the shallow water. Stayed at peaceful cottage near Madley for a family holiday which is very close to the beats above Hereford.
