My luck had to change! The lovely early morning cloud cover just evaporated away to blue skies and a torrid sun. I didn't like it and it seems the trout weren't too keen on it either. Very little rising apart from the odd tiddler in the shallows.
Two salmon leapt in the morning and retired to sulk in the depths.
1 small trout on a hares ear. Packed in after a bankside lunch.

Fishing from 7am after another early start. River steady at 0.8m and moderate tint. Saw approx. 15lb silver specimen show 4 times opposite Garry's new 'Stairway to Heaven' but no response to a variety of flies. Hopefully has taken up residence just off the end of the stumps. Good luck if fishing in the next couple of days.
One other salmon showed midstream opposite pub but nil seen
on Rock.
A day of dazzling sunshine and approx. 8hrs of casting exercise in beautiful surroundings. Crawled off home for a beer with a good tan.

River & weather perfect in this beautiful location. Plenty of fly about and thought I was in for a very enjoyable day. Never saw a rise or a fish the whole day, not even a small one. The river was totally dead. Very, very disappointing and will not be visiting again. Sorry, but I have to come to the conclusion that this fishing is poorly managed.

Home decorating responsibilities met, at last able to get out again! Went for the extreme in canyon Clettwr to find varied fly life all day but only saw one rise. Many pools changed with old trees gone and some more recent additions, its a new experience every time. Caught 10 between 5 and 10", mainly on PT and Hares Ear nymphs under a klink, with 3 off the surface. No sign of the bigger brethren.

Beautiful weather, breathtaking scenery, superb top water fishing in crystal clear water. 6 rainbow trout taken from 1.5lbs to 2.5lbs. Fish taken on a floating line with black and peacock spiders on the cast. A really great day out.

Two very good grayling over 2lb on dry. Most fish on nymph, very little rising all day. Excellent day thank you.
