Spent four hours and caught nothing. Had one bite on a spinner. Great place to fish, shame it was too hot to catch. Will be returning when the weather cools :)

Very hot blazing sunshine made fishing difficult, location and bait choice important. Sweetcorn worked for me and I had 6 barbel and 1 chub including 2 lovely baby barbel - future looks good.

River very, very low and clear - 30 Degrees! Lots of canoes out of control and walkers on the Northern Bank. Nice location, needs rain.

Fished the evening rise only. One trout of half pound. In good condition. Caught as the light was fading, on the surface when I switched to a small spent spinner. I felt that the profile of the fly was useful as there was a lot of foam and I suspected that the small CDCs/Klinks would not stand out.

x1 brown trout around 6 inches, x2 around half a pound and x1 around 3/4 pound. Left around 9.30pm. Fish caught on black gnat, teal blue and silver and mayfly pattern. A lot of brown trout activity. Heard that Junction pool downriver was fishing well a couple of weeks ago so hopefully there are some sewin on their way through.
Hoping to get back down later this week.

Same timings and tactics as yesterday, just fewer fish! Blimey it is hot, even at 4.30am, not a breath of wind.

9 barbel to 9lb, 1 chub and 3 eels (approx 2lb). Great sport on a scorching day when a swim with shade was essential.

Fished remarkably well considering the low water level and hot conditions. Trout rising regularly to olives. Caught on on PTN and hares's ear and rose several fish on parachute Adams and CDC olives. All fish returned in good condition.
