Fished on ledger using worm. Returned one brown and one rainbow both under size and looking healthy. 4 fish in bag, all rainbow 3 in perfect fin condition, 1 with stubbed left fin. Water condition was excellent, no rubbish around bank and excellent parking. The warden was very friendly and quick to check permit. Due to inconvenient problems only managed five hours fishing would think that if I was there all day would have reached bag limit. Will be returning soon hopefully for a full day!

Blank. This was really due to conditions though as we were over fish and could see them. Nice beat with plenty to go at in the low water. As it was our last day of the trip we headed back before 7pm for a social. Great week and great locations. We'll be back. Thank you all.

It was our last day guided by Adam Fisher. Great week and brilliant to finish on a few fish considering the tough, low and clear conditions. Lovely beat and good access, plenty of swims. All in all a great few days and fantastic fishing/service. Thanks to the Foundation for everything see you next year!

Sighted 2 good sized trout together in deep pool but failed to catch, was a very hot day and although I didn't start until 7pm nothing seemed to be taking. More trees down across stream making some places very difficult to pass.

Fished from first light until 10ish. River very low. All fish caught before 9.00am. Touch ledger pellets, corn and spam all did the trick. Enjoyed this beat.

I love this beat. It is very beautiful, with fabulous pools and trenches for salmon to hide in. A pity then there are next to no fish, not even trout. Even taking my ineptness into account, when wading, you would disturb fish if they were there. I did not. I have caught poachers before now, and there was evidence of them again - empty beer bottles, rubbish etc. Then there were bathers! Yes, 24 people I counted, swimming, sun bathing and even one group going up the river in a rubber duck dingy.

Fantastic evening fishing. Trout came on for that magic 2 hours, 8pm to 10pm. caught on black klinks, deer hair emergers & pheasant tails. Couple of good fish at 12-14inches, most at 10inches or smaller.

Fished all day below the Orchard. Air really cold until the sun got up then it got too hot and bright. A few bites and one chub until the sun was up then nothing, bites dried up completely. Could see massive chub against far bank but couldn't temp them.
Willow tree split and fell into field early that morning which meant the the cattle were crowded around BB's swim until all the leaves were cleared off. A surprisingly disappointing day from a stretch we thought would fish well in bright sunshine as it has the deeper swims! Better luck next year.
