River in good condition, if a bit cloudy. We fished from 1800 to 2230. R caught 4 trout ranging from approx 1 1/2 to 3/4 lb at the lower end of the beat on a Klinkhammer fly. J nil, on various flies!

I caught a 6 1/2 lb fresh run grilse on the fly. Fly used was a stoat's tail size 10 double. Many thanks to Colin Richardson the Gillie. Fish safely returned.

Six Barbel between 5 and 7.5lb, all to pellet. Big lull through middle part of the day. Could do with a few more pegs being dug out upstream since a fair bit is inaccessible.

River at nice level for summer, fished the bottom pool. Must have had 15 barbel but the biggest only of 7-8lbs. Plenty of big chub mixed in aswell which must have averaged 4lbs. All fish came on either the feeder or trotting pellets.

No fish caught, one salmon seen in Rectory Pool.

Caught 11 barbel and 2 chub, all on pellets.

One small pike on fly.

One barbel 10.5lbs. Halibut pellet used with PVA bag and mixed small pellets.

Just an afternoon to fish what turned out to be this good stretch of river. Five brown trout caught and returned from 6 to 12 inches.

I caught three brown trout in excellent condition, typical size of the river. Caught on Sedge pupa imitation, fished down and across. I was very happy with the stretch of river, fishing and fish. I was very pleased to see Kingfishers and Dippers, but also saw a large Cormorant and a Mink on the river. I believe the river is fly only, however I saw someone in a camo jacket spinning possibly for Pike. I didn't question the (18-20 yr old) man as he was on the other side of the river.
