River low and clear. Fished hard with no sign of Salmon all day. Good sport with Grayling; caught over 10 in 2hrs on a single dry fly I found in the boot of my car. Hey, why bother with other thousand flies left home if this one works?!

Nice looking section & the walk was not too bad. Had 5 barbel on meat & corn between 2 rods. All taken at the top end of the section. First field has cattle in at the moment. Had problems parking in lay by, because 2 cars were already there, they were walking.

My fishing partner JP has already submitted a comprehensive report on Saturdays visit to Wyebank. No barbel to report,1 chub late mid afternoon,my ony real bite of the day. Cold temps night before, bright day kept the barbel away. As ever Don helpfull & courteous, & Wye & Usk booking service as good as always. Hoping to return to Wyebank towards the end of October when river is a bit quieter.

After a frosty start the sun came out and it really was a lovely September day. Unfortunately all 3 of us blanked, an absolute disaster. It is a wonderful stretch, peaceful and easy to park in the dry for 3 cars. However luck was not with us. We will be back though!

No salmon caught but a number of decent pulls. River in good condition but a bright and sunny day. Fish showing, particularly in the croys at the top of the beat, plenty of canoes but all polite.

Beat:The River Hindwell, Knill Beat

Fishing:Trout (River)

No. of Anglers:1

Had 6 trout; 5 were in the 6 to 8 inch size plus one just over 11 inches.
The river was dropping down nicely after the recent rains and the water was gin clear, a few olives were coming off the water.
No fish rising though. I had all of the fish on a tungsten nymph.
It's the first time I've fished this lovely beat and look forward to fishing it earlier in the season next year, plenty of small pools, runs and pockets to hold fish, and excellent piece of technical trout water.
