I found this stretch to be very overgrown and difficult to wade for a 75 year old. There were a few mayfly about and some fish were rising. Caught one small trout and lost a couple of others, all on a mayfly emerger pattern.

1 x brown trout 10''. Taken on a dry from the nice glide at the bottom of the beat. Plenty of trout activity in the evening just before dark.

Had a nice fish in the Mill pool on the fly good strong fight and swam away strongly

One decent Rainbow Trout (returned) using spinner

River is lower than last week, had 5 to the net, most 6-8 inches, one a bit smaller, mostly to bead headed nymphs only one to rusty klinkhammer which is completely different to last week.
