River in flood so a difficult day. Bottom end of the beat at the beach was under water so fished off the only exposed croy at the top end.

Arrived 11.30 got going around mid day .river running fast(.0.895 level at Cilmery) and low visibility so expected a tough day.
Proved right for me with not a bit .A W managed a couple of bits and did catch a small grayling tight to the bank
A great stretch of river both agreed to come back when river has dropped.
Highlight of the day, A W has moved from away Wallers Gala pie to a Tesco Polish sausage !!!
Low point, this new speed limit in Wales.

We only only fished the evening and due to the levels the wooded area below lucky stone wasn't accessible, we opted to fish the the first few swims below and were rewarded with 10 chub all of a good size 4-5lb and a barbel to 8.5-9lb
Note. This has a long walk involving some steep hills due to no access through the woods so travel lights but enjoy

Lovely sunny day albeit pretty windy. River up about a foot overnight and pushing through strongly. Too tricky for this amateur.

Lovely day out in lovely weather River still coloured but at a stable level , probably a foot or two above normal. Anyway started fishing by the car park on the crease a third of the way over. Chub seemed keen in the sun with some fantastic specimens and PBs for me up to or above 5lb plenty in the 4lb bracket. Not to sniffed at and fought well putting in a good impression of barbel. On a hybrid soft pellet

The barbel were very large and fought like tigers coming later on in the day half way or more across in the very fast water. A day to remember and back next Monday for round two
