No catch

1 Chub

River coloured and fining down. Only upstream stretch accessible. Fish caught in both swims. Dog spike and rope essential.

7 Barbel, 1 Chub

River was swollen and fast running, making wading difficult. Was clarity was low. No fish caught and nothing rising until an hour before dusk when some activity started towards to banks. Stonefly hatch was promising, but no fish caught. May have been better in calmer conditions..

Struggled with river up and very fast and not much bank accessible safely. All fish from the lower end.

4 Chub

Lots of water pushing through after heavy rains. We found a few feeding in the shallower pool tails. Most fell to small nymphs inc. a cracking 3lb+ WBT. One salmon showed itself. Fab day as always, thanks to WUF and owner for access.

7 Trout, 10 Grayling

Not many swims available so quite limited.

2 Barbel, 3 Chub, 1 Other

Fished two spots attempting to find the barbel and avoid the smaller chub. Standard feeder and ledger methods. Caught 8 chub all around 3lb to 4lb in size.
