Really tricky beat. Annoyed I booked to be honest. Wading is very very difficult as the rock are so slippery. I would advise not getting in the river to be honest. I did to catch my 1 fish but there are fish in this beat for sure. casting is restricted making for a frustrating experience not being able to present flies well.

Fished all day no fish because of the long lines we found in the water we pulled in 2 lines with 12 lines coming off them with hooks attached to them this is the second time we reported it to the Welsh water .

The people who are up there before it opens is unbelievable and the poaching that's go's on up there is unbelievable AND THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION IS NO FISH PS SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT THIS BECAUSE IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME SPACE AND MONEY

I used a variety of dry and wet flies plus lures. I managed a take on a dry though I didn’t connect with the fish. The day was enjoyable however I found the beat to be challenging with steep banks and many trees to contend with.
I was the only rod fishing the beat that day so I imaging others felt the same.
I was disappointed to find that only one bank was accessible when the description clearly states the beat has two fishing banks. I feel this needs to be more accurately described in the website so that potential customers understand the limitations of the beat in order to make an informed decision.

Fishing Passport Note : Some double bank fisheries will only have access on one bank. It is always worth mentioning a double bank fishery, as anglers can fish the beat with the knowledge that no-one will be fishing opposite.

River low and clear. Only a few sporadic rises so persevered with Euro nymphing. Majority of fish came to a #16 Copper John on the dropper.
