Got there at crack of dawn and was absolutely beautiful on the gravel beach area at far end of the swim. Not a sole in sight……until about 11am when it was apparent this wasn’t private land as I might have expected for £70 for me and my son, but in fact was the local splash zone for the locals. Gazebos, inflatables, dogs, swimmers.
Became un fishable. So thought we might aswell have s swim too- which was lovely.
Water was very low and clear. Car read 37 degrees!
We moved to another peg, but conditions were against us.
Barbel was 7 1/2 lb.

Didn’t Go Too Hot

Unable to fly fish as water levels were so low, unable to access water due to mud/silt. Would have been nice to know prior to booking

Very hot and busy with river traffic but still a good beat
