A few miles from the source of the river Usk, this remote upland 280 acre reservoir is set amongst forest and moorland in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is regarded as one of the best still water trout fisheries in Wales with fly fishing, spinning and worm fishing all permitted (the western end of the water is fly fishing only).

The wild brown trout population is supplemented with stocking of rainbows. For fly fishermen, standard reservoir nymphs and lures are recommended. ALL BROWN TROUT MUST BE RETURNED.

A limited number of private berths are available on Usk Reservoir for those who wish to fish from their own boat. All other fishing permits for the Usk Reservoir are from the bank only. To enquire about the availability of an annual private berth please contact the team at Llandegfedd Reservoir on 01633 373400.

Opening hours : 8am to 7pm – 9pm (½ hour after sunset or 9pm, whichever is earlier).
