River up and rising. Most swims very unfishable due to high river levels and extremely fast flow. Found one area where it was slack enough to fish, and managed to catch a few. A dry and sunny day and a lovely location none the less.

River a bit too high really, but we persevered and were rewarded with some nice grayling. Largest of the day went 1:13 the rest were of a good size except for two smaller fish.

The OOS trout of course crashed the party, as they often do when the water is up.

Very difficult conditions, river was very high and a lot of walking to find fishable swims, in the end 1 of us fished beat 4 and 1 in beat 5/6, it was a glorious day and the river was dropping slowly, we managed 1 bite each 2 chub caught around 4lb and 2lb, seen an otter, red kites and some very friendly cows, very enjoyable day apart from only 2 bites all day, alot of leaves debris as well, but you expect that this time of year. booked on for 2 days but we were unable to fish the 1st day after walking all the beats.

The water was very high so unsafe to wade. I'd like to have another go in the summer.

River up around +2.2m, so fished downstream of the wood. A few swims in the first field, but in the second, could do with one or two more swims being cleared. I think there was one at the top near the gate, then a double swim towards the bottom of the beat.
3 Chub caught all very close in, due to river really pushing through. Biggest was just over 4lb.

A lovely looking stretch, will be back when river has fined down a bit.
