Abandoned the day after only a couple of hours. A torrential downpour made already dangerous banks into potential death traps, far too risky to continue unfortunately. Surely some minor works can be done to create small, relatively flat areas on these steep bank sections? Others have done it in other areas of the river.

Fishing Passport Note : There are strict limits to what can be done lawfully in regards to clearance and access. The Wye and its banks are highly protected under law. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC).

Interesting, decent stretch, could be great with a bit more work. Mixed reports previously and I blanked here in November a few years ago, so glad to get a few decent fish this time. For the price, I probably won’t fish here again but glad I tried it and both times I have been the only one on the stretch, which is nice, so we’ll see.
