Hard days fishing weather was to hot plenty of fish cruising around but not feeding on a cooler day I think you would have a good few catches

Lovely day on lechmere, stupidly hot so fish care was high on the agenda . Sm caught 80 chub with one nice trout , Ps caught 8 chub but was unable to wade hence the lowish return, Sg caught 50 chub from various swims on the beat.

Unfortunately, no fish today. Clear skies, intense sun and low clear water levels, probably not a good combination. This is the first time we have not caught from the Thomas Wood beat.

Water very low indeed in places, and clearly very warm with 33 degree air temp. Fish understandably not moving any more than needed but nonetheless we had a few bites, and but for three spat unbarbed hooks might have had a fish or two. Stunning location and given the exceptionally difficult conditions still very nice fishing. Pint at the Bell afterwards proper Ice Cold In Alex remake...

On the evening ticket - fish mainly feeding on midge but found some fish under trees who took something more substantial.

We fished the Friday only. The river was very low. Five chub between us, all before 10am. After that we struggled to get a bite. The water was low enough for us to see the barbel and chub in front of us, and a large eel.

Caradoc is a busy place when the sun is shining and as usual here we were joined by many others enjoying the river… In view of the heat and very low water not much was caught but the fish all seemed fine and fed sporadically in the fast water…The swims on the opposite bank seem to be increasing and unfortunately any sort of exclusivity has diminished significantly.
