Second visit this week ended with 7 chub all around the same size good quality chub and enjoyable.
Again though looked like it was either poached at night as swim had evidence of a fire/BBQ meat containers left and a pile of bottles and beer cans.
Around 11 o’clock it became like the M25 of canoes but have to say it don’t effect the fishing apart from the odd clueless person being to close in or asking for cigarettes.
Still enjoyed my days fishing just think it needs more bailiffs activity or they will destroy the wye/fishery.

Only lacked an actual clown and juggler and I'd have had a full circus around me. Boarders, paddlers, swimmers, treasure divers( I kid you not!!!), dogs , children and pleasure boats made for an adventurous few hours. £45 for the honour!!! my local river ,the Avon Llwydd after years of pollution being halted is now running clear, and teeming with life. After fishing on the Wye my whole life I have never seen such a murky , green pea soup state of a once great river.
On our watch ,I don't know who is wholly to blame or if its a mixture of everything but this must be highlighted and protected....rant over!!

A lot of decent chub from the stretch to over 3lb and 4 barbel eventually in quick success all on the float. Little disappointed in paying as much as we did for then to be ascended on by crowds of swimmers and dog walkers I'd of thought for money it would be off limits to general public.

The first and end sections of the beat were largely inaccessible and there were only a few swims in the middle that were accessible. The river was very low and although there was plenty of activity from the Chub the barbel just didn't seem to want to play. Left around lunchtime as lost 3 rigs for 3 casts and fancied spending some time with my sons!

No fish today but an enjoyable day In beautiful surroundings. I appreciate its early season and flora growth is at its peak and water levels are low but few swims to fish. Some pre season work as most clubs undertake would not go a miss.

Arrived early in the morning hoping for barbel but the chub fed throughout the day.
