Had a lovely couple of hours on this wonderful brook. The wildlife is truly immersive, despite not being able to catch a fish for sh*t. Fished purely dry fly today as the water was pretty low and time is too precious to keep chopping and changing to a nymph. .I managed to tempt a couple of fish to take my fly, only for me to miss both. A bit hampered from the wind today as the usual haunts were un -fishable, trying to cast a 3wt into a head wind was as effective as a chocolate fire guard. Tried to fish the upper stretch, but was greeted by several playful dogs, which I didn’t mind.
